Do crosswords with a classical bent give you a cheer?
Do entertainment clues make you grin ear to ear?
You’ll need a knowledge of both for this endeavor
If you solve it completely, you must be quite clever
In each of the rhyming couplets below
Can be read as two clues, in this manner, like so
The first line is classical (Shakespeare, the Bible or myth)
The second line is modern (TV, movies, and suchwith)
Only seven answers are needed in all
Each has a modern clue and one classic-al
Each line in a couplet may not lead to the same
Answer, that’s just part of the game
The number you see after each clue
Will give you something else to due
Put that number letter from the answer you got
And place in its blank, and you’ll have what?
